The Business Development Department at IPC plays a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth and expansion within its various thematic areas. This department is primarily responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities, particularly those aligned with IPC's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Project Identification and Acquisition: The department identifies potential projects that align with IPC's areas of expertise, such as climate change, agriculture, governance, project management, and more. This involves staying updated with various funding sources like Horizon Europe, the Creative Europe Programme, Erasmus+, the Digital Europe Programme, IPA, World Bank Projects, AfD Projects, etc.
  • Proposal Development: The team is involved in the preparation and submission of project proposals, ensuring they meet the requirements of the funding bodies. This includes creating comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Networking and Partnerships: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including EU institutions, government agencies, and private sector clients, is crucial. The department actively seeks partnerships and collaborations that can enhance IPC's project outcomes.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development: The Business Development Department conducts market analysis to understand emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the international consultancy landscape. Based on this analysis, the department formulates strategies to position IPC effectively in the market.
  • Funding and Financial Planning: They play a significant role in financial planning for new projects, including identifying potential funding sources, and ensuring the financial viability and sustainability of projects.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: The department works closely with other IPC departments, like the legal consultancy, media and advertising, and the green communication consultancy, to ensure a holistic approach to project development and implementation.
  • Capacity Building and Knowledge Management: They are responsible for enhancing IPC's internal capabilities by keeping the team informed about new opportunities, methodologies, and best practices in project consultancy.
